The results for 2015 Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) and Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE) are out and the pass rate have dropped by 5 and 1 percent, respectively.

The results were released
on Thursday by the Malawi National Examination Board (Maneb) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
According Maneb, a total of 134 490 students sat for JC examinations and 91 223 have qualified for the award JCE certificates, representing a pass rate of 67.8 percent.
This apparently gone down by 5.43 percent compared to 2014 results in which 124 999 students wrote the examinations and 91 539 passed, representing 73.23 percent a pass rate.
While 249 031 candidates sat for 2015 PSLCE and 168 221 pupils have have passed, representing a 67.6 percent pass rate.
However, Maneb has advised all candidates wishing to query their results to do so in writing through their heads of school where they
registered.
''MANEB will not entertain any query about the results made directly to the Board by candidates or any other individual. All queries should
reach MANEB by 14th October, 2015. After this date, no further queries will be entertained,'' warned the Board.
Students selected to start Form 1 have been requested to report to the schools they have been selected to by
Monday, 7th September.
